Priory Country Park is your gateway to Bedford River Valley Park, an established green area, of around 360 acres, made up of lakes, meadows and woodland, partially enclosed within a bend in the River Great Ouse.
Managed, for the benefit of both wildlife and visitors, by Bedford Borough Council, the Park offers a visitor centre with ample car parking, information and toilets, all easily accessible from the Barkers Lane entrance. A wide range of walks and cycle rides lead visitors to two bird hides on the banks of the main lake and the smaller Finger Lakes. The Park is popular with anglers; most lakes are day ticket waters.
